RAPUNZEL REDUX

I am a modern day Rapunzel. I sit here in my third floor boulevard apartment overlooking venerable Franklin Avenue in Hollywood where Joan Crawford aka Lucille le Seuer, worked as an "escort" with movie industry captains AND their wives and mistresses, in her studio apartment, in 1924!

It was here in 1935 that former matinee idol John Gilbert received his final humiliation -- accompanying junior bird men Tyrone Power and Robert Taylor to the tea dance at the Chateau, he lost his rug! He committed suicide a few weeks later.

And this was the incident that triggered off A Star is Born ....

I'm fiftysomething, have a better body in my 50s than I had in my 20s, bump up the red pigment in my hair and my chest ever so slightly, and have my doctor give me a testosterone fix every three weeks!
